The site report is a great resource to help you identify and resolve security issues for users of your Web site. Our expert analysis may find security issues with your Web site that you were not aware of. You may also learn more about the experiences of your site's visitors by reading the community site reviews.
Do you think your Web site's rating is inaccurate?
If you feel that your Web site has been given a rating by Norton Safe Web that is unfair or inaccurate, you can easily request a re-evaluation. There are three steps: 1. Verify Ownership signup for an account with Norton Safe Web if you haven't already done this. On the "site dispute" tab of your profile page, click on the "Add site" link and enter your Web site address. You will receive an email on successful registration of your Web site. Please follow the instructions in the email carefully to . Once you have completed the steps mentioned in the email, click on "verify" (next to your Web site name) to establish ownership. You will not be able to submit a re-evaluation request unless your ownership is verified. 2. Begin a Re-evaluation Request You can submit a re-evaluation request for your Web site if your site is rated as red. Click on the "re-evaluate" link next to your Web site name on the "site dispute" tab. You can raise your concerns and issues regarding content on your Web site. On the next page, you will see all the threats detected on your site. We suggest that you review your Web site and remove the threats from your Web site. 3. Norton Safe Web Re-evaluates your Web Site We process re-evaluation requests in the order in which they are received. As soon as our re-evaluation is complete, we will send you a notification. You can revisit the Norton Safe Web Site report to view the updated rating for your Web site.
Submitting an Appeal
If you are not satisfied with our re-evaluation of your Web site, you can submit an appeal. We suggest that you completely review and remove any security risks on your Web site before submitting an appeal. Click on the "appeal re-evaluation" link next to your Web site name on the "site dispute" tab. On the next page, you will see the threats detected on your site. We suggest that you review your Web site and remove the threats on your Web site if our detection is accurate. For all threats listed, please indicate why you would like us to re-evaluate them. Note that it is helpful to provide as much detail as possible to help your appeal. We will send you a notification on receipt of your appeal request. We review the appeals in the order in which they were received and will send you a notification on completion. You can revisit the Norton Safe Web Site report to view the updated rating for your Web site. You can view all your Web site ratings and re-evaluation request status on the "site dispute" tab of your profile page. Also, please keep in mind that the opinions of the people who write reviews on our Web site do not reflect the views of Symantec. If you have a problem with something that someone writes in a review, we cannot filter reviews out. Perhaps you should leave a review addressing any misconceptions that visitors to your site may have. If your Web site has had repeated problems that have caused us to give it an unfavorable rating, we may refuse or postpone a request for reanalysis of that site. |
